Policies


  • All sales are final; absolutely no exchanges, refunds, or cancellations.
  • A 50% deposit is required to special order merchandise or for layaway and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Alterations are not included in the price.
  • All orders must be in at least 22 weeks before the wear date. You acknowledge that, for any orders later than 22 weeks, The Model Shop will not be held responsible should the garments not arrive on-time for alterations, the date they are to be worn, or if they must be reordered for any reason.
  • All ship dates are approximate; The Model Shop is not responsible for delays out of our control, such as the manufacturer going out of business or being unable to meet the orders specifications.
  • You are required to try on and inspect merchandise before it leaves The Model Shop. All claims of damages will not be accepted after merchandise has left our premises.
  • You will be contacted as soon as the merchandise has arrived at The Model Shop. You will have two weeks from the contact date to come in to pick-up, try it on and inspect merchandise or all claims against the manufacturer and The Model Shop will be forfeited.
  • After a deposit is paid for a layaway or a special order, this is considered final sale. No refund or cancellation accepted.
  • Layaway merchandise must be picked up and paid in full within 45 days of the date the item was put on layaway. A weekly storage fee will be charged at $5 per week when left for over 45 days.
  • Merchandise and deposit are forfeited if merchandise is not picked up two weeks after designated wear date. We require written notice by certified mail if the wear date changes.
  • Bridesmaids’ dress orders: The Model Shop will not place the full multi dress order until all bridal party members have been measured and all deposits are paid.
